What behavioral challenges does specific learning disabilities cause in and out of the classroom?
Students with specific learning disabilities will:
- Express themselves through disobedience, animosity, or uncontrolled emotions (poor self-control) due to poor frustration levels that leads to the student to act out.
- Struggle to adapt to their surroundings, catch onto social cues, and improper reasoning abilities. This can lead to misjudging situations, unreasonable actions and consequences.
- Requires instant reward or praise for any achievement or good doing.
- Have difficulty in creating meaningful connections with other people. Students will tend to be immature for their age and have a pushy attitude towards others. This causes them to struggle making and maintaining relationships.
