Specific Learning Disability

What is it?

Specific learning disability relates to a particular learning impairment. This means an individual struggles with the fundamental mental processes to comprehend verbal or written language, which leads to them being disable to “listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or to do mathematical calculations” (National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities, 2012). Specific learning disability differs between individuals.
